Where is the warmest beach in Florida to visit in early April?

Jenna asked:

We are taking our kids on vacation in the first week of April for their spring break. We want to go to a Florida beach with temps in at least the lower 80′s, and plenty of sunshine every day. Avoiding the crazy college spring-breakers would be a plus, but I’m not going to let that drive me away from a great vacay spot either. Never been to Florida before, so I’m in heavy research mode. Any ideas?

I live in Florida and my Spring Break falls in the last week of April, so I would say Key West.

If you can’t go to Key West, get as far south as you can. It will be much warmer that any place up higher in the state.

There is a small island named North Captiva island north of Captiva and Sanibel island. It is about 8 hours south of Florida! Depending on your budget this a great place for kids and adults! There is no cars on the island you take a water taxi to the island and transportation is golf carts! There is only 3 restaurants, ice cream shop, 1 Small convenient store, no grocery stores either! You order your groceries in advance and there delivered to your house. There are also 2 souvenir shops. If you like to stay at the beach all day or swim in the pool this is the place for you! There’s a playground, a tennis court, and much more!
