Poll: aint florida southern?

Posted By admin on August 31, 2009

countrybuddyischillin asked:

florida is not recognized as a true southern state even today by few…………….

the only arguements i hear are:
Florida is occupied by snowbirds
florida wasnt originally one of the southern states
florida is a tourist attraction

i believe this needs to end because:

1. florida did have slaves, how can you be ignorant?
2.there were cotton fields in florida dummy
3. florida was one of the first states admitted in the confederacy
4.didnt florida take part in the civil war with the southern states?
5.its the southernmost confederate state
6.sure snowbirds have watered down the image but i can show you some country *** spots that havent changed.

florida is just as southern as its brothers: georgia, alabama, arkansa, texas, mississippi and both carolinas

i dont consider maryland, both virginas, kentucky, or tennessee southern by nature
born and raised down hurr, okey dokey?
