Where is a good place in Florida to raise a family with a good full gospel church and near the ocean?

We are considering relocating from a small town in the upper midwest and are looking for the following: Family friendly area, near the ocean, near shopping and other things to do, affordable housing($800/month or less), and a good church to get plugged in to. Some areas we are looking at are Ellenton, Sarasota, Spring Hill. We’ve just been researching online and are planning to visit soon. Any advice?

Sarasota is too expensive. Anything near the ocean is going to be expensive. Spring Hill is a lot more affordable and has a good size church for born agains, but people go to Tampa from there to go shopping and to do things. I don’t know what the prices are like in the Ellenton area, but there is great shopping there and it would be less than Sarasota. I assume you came up with those towns by seeing where there are churches for your denomination. If you have not, I would suggest you do that and email the pastors.
