Your child will be assigned to school nearest your home, so if you are trying to put your child in a certain school you will have to live in the zone that pertains to that school. That is unless you can get some sort of exeption or your child is qualified enough to get into a charter school. With that said this website will give you information about the schools in general:
At the above site there is an option to compare schools, so yoy can select a few and compare them side by side.
This website will give you some ratings of the teachers at the school and give you an idea of how your child will be taught.
