I want to know what does florida law state about secretly videotaping someone in public places? Obviously, they’re not in the nude, because its in a public place, but i still want to know what the law says about this subject, and can i be charged in anyway.

  1. DJ Big Dog says:

If a person is in public, they have no expectations of privacy and therefore cannot file suit against someone if they videotape them. This actually applies to all 50 states.

  2. Jimmy3 says:

You can definitely not videotape anyone as in the eyes of the law it is a breach of privacy.

  3. spaznskitz says:

You can video tape in a public area without consequence PROVIDED it is not lewd in nature – like trying to get shots up women’s skirts…
