I am trying to rent a 15 passenger van here at the local Enterprise (Nebraska), however they are telling me they can’t rent to me because I am going to Florida. They tell me it is illegal to drive one in Florida. I have googled this, but can find nothing regarding it being illegal. In fact, about all I find when I search for it is places in Florida renting 15 passenger vans. Can someone please clarify this?

I live in Florida and I’ve never heard of that before. My church van is a 12 passenger van and we’re getting a bigger one. So I highly doubt it. Maybe it’s certain parts of Florida or something like that.
is your trip one way or round trip
did you speak with a supervisor at enterprise
did you call the company headquarters ?
it may be that the Nebraska officer thinks you are going to leave the van in Florida
and why not just rent the van in florida then?:
No it is not. Most likely the Enterprise guy doesn’t want you to take the rental out of state. Or maybe he’s worried that something might happen to their van. Have you tried another rental company?
No its not. Next time don’t tell them where you are going. They are wrong.
